Federation and interwar homes

The older housing around Good Street and the streets running off it tends to have high ceilings, solid brick or weatherboard walls, and minimal ceiling insulation. High ceilings mean more air volume to condition than the floor area suggests — these homes are routinely under-quoted by installers sizing off floor plans. Many also have roof spaces tight enough to make ducted difficult, in which case multi-split is the better answer.

Apartments along Parramatta Road and near the station

The apartment stock near Granville station and along the Parramatta Road corridor almost always sits under strata. That means written approval before installation and, usually, a specified location and appearance for the outdoor unit. We have worked through this process with buildings across the area and can provide the technical detail your strata manager will ask for. Where there is no viable condenser position, a multi-split or bulkhead system is often the way through.

Newer builds in South Granville

Newer construction has better insulation and roof space that suits ducted. If you are still at renovation or build stage, talk to us before the plasterboard goes up — running pipework and cabling inside open walls is far cheaper than coring through finished surfaces later.
